Paul was appointed in January 1992 as Architect for the reconstruction of Sydney's Luna Park, in collaboration with Ken Maher and Partners (later Hassell). The project was worth over $27m in building and associated works and over $40m in total. Construction started in mid January 1993. The project involved major restoration, fit-out, civil and marine works as well as new buildings, and artists' program. The commission was extended in December 1993 to include rides, sets and giant roller coaster. MSJ joined the team for this phase. The project was opened on schedule in January 1995 after a fast track construction program.
